Welcome to Hadley Health. I’m Ezzie and I’m so happy you’re here.
It’s been a long journey getting to where I am today. I fully understand that we are each navigating our own path, with our own unique challenges and aspirations.
Having started my career in law, I realised it was not the vocation for me and went on to work in various industries to try and find the ‘right fit’. It was only in my thirties that I realised, professionally speaking, health and wellness is where my heart belongs.
Once that realisation struck, I knew retraining in this area would give me the sense of meaning and purpose I sought.
Today, I hold UK-based certifications in Health and Wellness Coaching, Nutrition and Lifestyle Coaching (accredited Ofqual regulated UK level 4) and also more recently, a specialised certification in Cancer Wellness Coaching, undertaken through the Cancer Wellness Institute (CWI).
My mission is to support people, just like you and me, towards healthier behaviour changes based on their specific health goals. I do this primarily through 1:1 coaching, taking an holistic approach and using a variety of methods and resources tailored to each individual.
What I Do
Health and Wellness Coaching is a dynamic and totally personalised process that focuses on the pursuit of health and wellness-related goals. Goals may involve any aspect of life for which a person seeks to achieve greater balance or regain their control such as activity levels, social connections, weight, nutrition, stress management etc.
In a nutshell, a Health and Wellness Coach is your personal cheerleader, guide and ally that helps you to implement lifestyle changes which are designed to improve your overall wellbeing.
Needless to say, many different aspects of our lives impact our personal sense of wellbeing. These include our relationships (with friends and family), nutrition, finances, fun and recreation, spirituality, physical environment, and our sense of personal development.
Health and Wellness Coaches focus on these and other key areas to help people to reflect upon and evaluate their current health status. If one of these areas is out of balance, it’s likely others are as well.
For example, someone who isn’t very physically active may also be highly stressed, not sleeping soundly or not eating well. Such situations can be overwhelming, so a Health and Wellness Coach can help in the creation of a personalised strategy involving the formation of specific health and wellness-related goals and the implementation of manageable but meaningful steps that work towards these goals. These goals and action steps comprise their personal wellness plan.
This process looks at where a person is currently and what action they are ready to take. Small, consistent changes accumulate over time, becoming healthy habits that last. It is a journey of self-discovery where the ‘client’ retains control of the process and ultimately discovers the solutions, depending on what works best for them at that particular time in their life.
As your Health and Wellness Coach, my approach is detailed, collaborative and totally personalised. Most important of all, my approach is all about empowering you to overcome any barriers, so you can create sustainable, positive changes that make health your lifestyle…
